The Cosmic Substance as shown in the Chart above is possessed of the cognition also. Under the ambiance of the radiance coming from the Soul, this cognition evolves into cognitive conscious light and becomes the light of knowledge known as Mahat or Pragnana in Sanskrit.

Next entity in the evolution is the individuating principle, conscious light acceptable as `I'ness in our day-to-day experience. Assuming further downward movement in the evolution, it is the `I am', the first person, the soul witness, the Lord entering the matter in the three states is the Creator and further descending evolves itself into the cosmic mind and spreads over the matter.

The same individuating Cosmic principle descending into the individual beings becomes the individual cognitive faculties as mind, intelligence, memory and ego, thus spreads its net over all the physical world. A psychological thought world thus comes into existence, reigning and guiding the world at the apparent level and this is known as the third person, in language, far, far away from the first person, the sole witness.

Simultaneously, man develops an illusive relation between the first, second and third persons, which is ignorance and thereby he becomes oblivious of the former infinite and true nature. Thus the first person `I' spreads itself through out the world as third person and runs after it. The result is the paradise lost, a confused and confounded traveller in the forest, who lost the highway and searches to regain it with a view to reach the destination. The nature of `I' in the beginning is the pristine beatitude

This `I' is the Self and the Self is the `I'.

Study the following examples:

David him self is speaking.
Mary her self is listening.
Plane it self is seen hovering round.
Death it self is frightening.
You your self are reading.
I my self am communicating.

The words in the first column are the nouns and all the things in the universe are nouns. The noun is the name of a thing, person and place having form. The form goes with matter or substance and this represents the surface existence in the world. Every name and form indicates a particular thing, class, person and place having identities, specific qualities and limitations. The world is filled with these things of names and forms. And this we call as third person in the language.

The words in the second column are the pronouns - for the nouns, again representing the class, person, place, etc., but devoid of those specific qualities in names and forms and these words are more expansive in their limit. And they identify more in general than in particular and this we call as second person in the language.

There is only one word in the third column - the Self devoid of any of the attributes of the first person or the second person, viz. the name, form, class, identity, etc. this word self is beyond the opposites contradictions, qualifications and is beyond the definition. The word is one with no second. It is the static and firm support of every name and form and all the attributes of the first and second persons.

While the names and forms in the third person are perishable the pronouns in the second column representing the individual beings are imperishable. This word, the Self, stands far behind the perishable and the imperishable and pervades all through the names and forms in all the three states of the world. Nothing survives without the support of the self. This Self is ever existing, fresh and experianceable and it forms the source of everything.

This self is the `I' conscious light in everyone. This `I'ness satisfies all the attributes of the self. This first person `I' is being used in every language for communicating.

Read the following examples:

Religion it self is not understood.
God him self is mericiless.
Heaven it self is denied.
Hell it self is infernal.
Satan him self is also mighty.

Thus we conclude all the higher worlds, the invisible forces and the godheads also survive under the support of this oneself. From this self comes out the spirit, which breathes life into and enlivens Gods, Satan, devils, all beings, seen and unseen. This self is but the `I' and both are verifiable in logic and reason and experienceable through the process of deep penetration into the heart.

The humblest plea of this yogi is that this self is the Supreme; one should acquire the self-knowledge and make an effort for the realisation. This yogi proposes that this subject must assume importance in all the circles of philosophy and religion and the proponents should acquaint themselves with this self, which is One beyond description, definition and devoid of divisions and differentiations. Unless this Infinite Self is understood and explained, we cannot universalise the God and the religion and unify all the human beings under the umbrella of spiritual knowledge.
