First experience in Yoga, in the vital sphere (behind the matter(deha)) when the body and mind are properly tuned under the intensive effort coupled with the desire, dispassion and discrimination just like a musical instrument to produce the best music in harmony with the seven different notes, a flashing glimpse of the Truth descends through the mind and intelligence in such an Illumination the aspirant is struck with wonder. It is just like the clouds hiding the sun, at times give way for us to see the bright sun. This marks the start on the Path of Illumination leading to the Eternal Truth. For more details look into the book.

In the process of the Yogic practice, the Kundalini energy starts moving in the Sushumna and comes to the experience of the Yogi. In the Sushumna, the pranic movement representing the flying birds, crawling snakes, and emitting variety of colours and flames come to the experience of the Yogi. |
Under the excitement of the previous experience when the Dhyana advances the body of the Yogi is purified under the Yogic heat and the Yogi finds himself in the flames spreading throughout the body and rising up to the skies. This indicates the body of the Yogi under transformation. |
On a fine day, in course of Dhyana the Yogi leaves his physical body and flies into the Cosmos through the subtle body and experiences all the galaxies face to face and thereby he records limitlessness in his movement in all the three worlds. |
In course of the practice the yogi experiences the appearance of the White Swan with the golden beak, legs and claws seated in the heart with all majesty and gaiety. |
On another occasion when the Yogi practices the Gayathri Mantra with all sincerity he is blessed with the Darshan in the form of a brilliant light in the heart, wherein the aspirant experiences the presence of the divine Devi. He thus, receives the blessings of the Gayathri Devi. In other words, the pranic energy takes the form of Devi. |
In course of the Intensive Practice the aspirant experiences the divine light flowing down from yonder skies into the heart from his right side confirming the experience of Jesus Christ at the time of Baptism by Prophet Moses. The aspirant's joy and excitement knows no bounds. |
In course of Yoga the aspirant worships Lord Shiva with all intensity and experiences the Lord's form, the Shiva Linga and other details in his heart. |
On another occasion the Yogi is blessed with the presence of Lord Buddha and Jesus Christ who appear at the sublime stages of Dhyana. |
In the intense worship of the formful Lord Shiva in the silent cavity of the heart, in the most divine imagination of the culture he has developed for the worship through the Rudra Abhisheka, the Yogi could bring into his heart the celestial Dhaksha Yagna scene wherein all the celestial gods participate in the grand yagna. The Yogi could see his own image doing abhisheka to the Maha Linga in the heart. This is the supreme imagination at the highest level of the mind. For further details go through the book. |
The purification of the shuttle body that is the individual being starts in the heart. At this stage, the Yogi experiences all forms of light, white, brownish red, yellow, green, blue, etc., emitting from his heart. |
The love and longing of the Yogi for the self-realisation is so pure and intense, there is fretting, fuming and pinning in the heart. The result is that the subtle body of the Yogi i.e., the individual jeeva seated in the heart starts melting under purification. It is like the seeds fried under good temperature of the micro oven. This is the starting for experiencing divine aura round the heart and the head. |
The Yogi further intensifies the practice where the above state is strengthened. It is a state of profound stillness where all the constituents of the body, mind, memory and the outside world are completely brought to naught. The Yogi experiences steady formation of the auras round the heart and the head. In the heart he experiences various colours, reddish brown, green, yellow, etc.
At this stage, the individual Soul seated in the heart as the unholy personality becomes softened, swollen and is burnt into fumes and flames and the divine aura forms round the heart. The arteries of the heart are then filled with the juice of a fine substance of reddish brown, white, blue, yellow and red and thus the divine aura is formed round the heart. It rises from the body and after forming the divine aura round the head joins and merges in the Supreme.
Behold! The Yogi suddenly loses all consciousness of `I'ness and merges in the yonder Soul, which is reddish brown, white, blue, yellow, etc. The rays of this Supreme spread out and enter the arteries of the heart and the rays from these arteries also spread out and enter into the Supreme Truth. This is the Mahayana, the Maha pandhanam, the grand highway joining the Truth in the individual heart with that in the Supreme behind the three worlds. This is Nirvana, inundation into the Absolute, the ambrosial bliss and the self-realisation. |
After realisation, when the Yogi concentrates on the course of future life to be pursued, the spiritual energy completely over powers him and takes the form of divine serpent called in the mythology as Adhiseshu, the many headed cobra. The Yogi enjoys the divine experiences and subsequently comes to firm conclusion as to the way of life in future. The other two photos relate to -
(1). Yogin Manikeswari presently available in Yanagondi of Karnataka state.
(2). The other photo relates to Mummadivaram Balayogi, in Ahdhra pradesh. He left the body recently.
In these two photos the many headed serpent in the form of Adisheshu is also shown as the seat etc. Therefore the experience of the spiritual energy in the form of the snake and the snakes has its moorings in the divine spiritual life. This Yogi's experience confirms the same and has the support of scriptures.
