If we observe a dying person, it is the body that is loosened and becomes weak and the dying person comes to a state of unconsciousness. All the organs then turn back to their source. The individual soul taking to himself the particles of resplendent energies of sense organs enters into the heart. When the Soul in the eye turns back into the heart, he then becomes unconscious of forms and he cannot see anything or identify anyone. Same is the case with all other senses and organs. The result is that the dying person cannot see, cannot smell, cannot taste, cannot think, cannot speak etc.

Then the end part of the heart becomes luminous and through the luminosity this individual soul departs from the body through various parts. Along with him one's own actions and the predominant subtle impressions awaiting fructification also depart. Thus at the time of leaving this gross and physical body the individual soul goes back into the subtle body in the heart and continues its journey to the other subtle spheres as per the desire, the results of action, the deposits of memory of knowledge etc. After exhausting in the other spheres the results of the predominant actions desire etc. he returns again to this physical world to continue work.
