BELIEFS IN RELIGIONS:
Muslims conceptualized their heaven as the beautiful garden, wherein the streams of cold and clean water flow, which is rich with date trees and which place is cherished by the dreary traveller in the hot desert of vast stretches and the Muslims pray that after death Allah should grant them the heaven where all these comforts are provided freely and they can enjoy to the contentment.
Christians also conceptualized their own heaven, where the Lord sitteth in the heaven like a Roman Emperor showering all blessings on the audience sitting before him with no dearth of wanting of any nature. They desire after death Lord should grant them the eternal life in the presence of the Lord in the heaven as mentioned above.
Vaishnavism in India - The Vaishnavites conceptualized Lord Vishnu or Narayana with the body of blue sky in colour comfortably resting on the cozy soft bed of the Adisesha on the cosmic milky waters of the ocean.
Saivism in India - The Saivites imagined their Lord Siva and provided the form of the space and the pure elements as body and limbs; they have conceptualized the Kailasa, the highest mountain peak in the Himalayan ranges as the abode of Lord Siva, where the temperature is always very less, presenting a snowy white, cool climate.
In respect of the Muslim community and the Christian community the prayers also are suitably worded keeping these heavens and hells in view and they develop strong belief and sentimental rigidity that everything in the life is granted by their God and nothing can be achieved by effort. In India, in Saivism or Vyshnavism there is no concept of hell. But, there is a concept of Yama loka, where the results of the bad actions of the man pounce upon him all at a time, putting him to infernal suffering in the rivers of fire, amidst the venomous reptiles, swift eagles with long, sharp, piercing claws and beaks, more terrifying wild animals and beasts and invisible dreadful agents of Yama. He is the lord of death to conduct the governance of the virtuous and the vicious; after death His Army conducts the departed souls for the final verdict for reward or punishment. The virtuous souls are honoured and guided to the suitable heavens and the wicked are ordered for terrible suffering.
It is pertinent to note that the world movement is from the Cause to the Gross, wherein all these mental creations in the physical, subtle and the cause exist and they are logical. The subtle layer is divine to the physical layer. From the physical plane we may call them as heavens, angels, gods, etc. Still all these are within the cyclic movement. Nothing is created but everything has a source for its birth. This is logical and scientific.
