EFFORT AND RESULT:
Yet, thanks to the modern society, particularly the West, which has a `terrafirma' on the principle that the effort, work and action that ensure plenitude and prosperity in life. The Bible says clearly, "as you sow, so you reap." The Qur'an emphasizes in the freedom of action - The responsibility is attached to man's action and hopes of reward and threats of punishment are held out. And then as against this belief stand out a host of verses calling upon man to exert his mind and choose between right and wrong and he is told;
"God does not alter the state of a people until they themselves make a move to change it." (Q.13: 11)
"And that his striving shall at last become manifest." (Q. 53: 40)
"Whatever mishap befalleth you is nothing but the result of what your own hands have wrought." (Q. 42: 30).
"In this worldly existence everything indeed is accomplished by well applied human EFFORT in the proper direction.
Virility and manliness in EFFORT alone ensure proper result.
Our present state of life is the result of our past EFFORT and hard work from boyhood and by OUR PRESENT WORK only we are carving out our future life.
Through one's own EFFORT AND ACTION, man earns power, pelf and health in this world, also heaven or hell or complete liberation in the other worlds. | | |
