ACCOUNT ON THE INTRODUCTION:
The Self is the Supreme. It is the knowledge of the Self and it is the realisation of the Self. Under the sub-head "Inspiration", Adi Shankara's comment is unique and challenging. We do not find one great Soul, who realised the Self and also explained the world movement from the cosmic cause down to solid physical modes of elements i.e., the entire cosmic scheme with logic and reason to the satisfaction of the scientific mind. Pursuant to this statement, here is presented the unique analysis of the matter being stirred to move. The static transcendental truth and the Spirit on one side and the matter from the cosmic cause down to the gross manifestation on the other side are discussed in detail in this book. The self is existing everywhere as the center in everything. Nothing exists without it's support eg:- the world itself, Oxford itself, Germany itself, Japan itself, Australia itself, The Universities themselves, The Editorial Boards themselves, The syndicate itself, religion itself, God Himself, Satan himself, Heaven itself and Hell itself.
The verification of the Self is well presented in the book to the acceptance of the adamant and defiant participant. The Self assumes all names and forms and indwells everything. Its nature is formless and it is all pervasive. It's a wonder and eternally a mystery such a commonly ever existing simple truth is being ignored ever since the creation by one and all - a scientist, philosopher, scholar the ignoramus, the saint and sinner. This ignorance is the illusion or the hypnotism of the nature. Everyone is under the magic spell of this hypnotism. Yet man wants miracles, super human acts for proof of the Truth. Let us dehypnotise and disrobe ourselves from the unbreakable ignorance. Then we are the masters. Human misery; death, fear dare not touch us then.
The second Upanishadic statement speaking on the two kinds of knowledge (1) The transcendental Truth and (2) The terrestrial and celestial moving matter is the most scientific Sankhya philosophy. Knowledge of the second kind embraces all the knowledge in the four Vedas, other Scriptures, all forms of learning, the knowledge of time and the cosmic process of manifestation, the grammar and the erudite writing, versatisation, astrology and the science of the celestial bodies. Nothing is excluded. All human knowledge of all forms known in the millenniums is included. Literature on ethics, character, God and all the higher worlds, the devil and the Satan, concepts of reward or punishment in this world and the other are included. The intelligent reader reading thus reaches cal-de-sac.
The knowledge on the transcendental is pointed out as that by which this word of expression can be crossed. Let the reader thus glean out that knowledge pure and straight pointing out the Supreme Self from the voluminous world of literature. This is the essence of the critical review of the available human knowledge.
