CREDENTIALS OF THE AUTHOR:
This book deals with the Supreme Self and its knowledge. It is innate. It is all pervasive and ever existing. The Self is fresh and is present in every moment as our breathing. It is center everywhere, invisible and beyond human knowledge; rare are the persons who have realised this Self and given a clear expression. The Self is the support of the spiritual science and the secular knowledge of the physical world. Jesus Christ, Lord Buddha and a host of Seers and Saints in the past and present possess no acquired specific attributes before their attainment of this Truth. It is the cosmic computation that assesses the resultant actions, desire and knowledge preceding their physical existence.
The knower of Truth is verily nameless, formless, ever existing and beyond qualifications and credentials. However we can trace out his life preceding the event. The author is a common person with minimum required knowledge of English and Sanskrit besides the native language. Till the age of 50 years he pursued the social obligations with desire, dedication and concentration tasting success of life in every aspect. There is a sudden change in the events thereafter. Intelligent planning and wise calculations and the confidence failed to yield expected results. The previous actions created problems beyond his capacities. Friends and professionals failed in their advice and faultered leaving the author miserable and helpless at the bottom of despair and distress. Isolating himself, the author faced the reverses single handed with no improvement. Prayers and prostrations to Gods yielded no results. His character, a blend of uncompromising, arrogant, ethical and moral conduct proved weak and was taken advantage by the adversaries and the situation continued for about eight years.
The rousing call of Swami Vivekananda awakened the sleeping spirit within, the content of which is as follows - "Why miserable? Who is responsible for the present state of affairs? Aren't your own actions? These insurmountable problems aren't the effects of your own dynamic involvements in massive schemes that invited jealousy and reaction? You made a big attempt to achieve a big success. Didn't you? Therefore you are alone responsible and you are the cause for the present situation. Who else will find solution for your problems? Your friends and professionals? Gods and Holymen? No. Surely, you are the right person to fight for the solution and put an end to the present misery. You know, who you are really? You are not the suffering body and mind. You are the invisible inner Soul and Spirit, Eternal, immortal and all pervasive. Enter thy heart and apprehend the soul and spirit face to face and know thy true nature. You are then the Master of the universe. It is unbecoming on your part to be caught miserably in the problems and cry for help. Awake; Arise; stop not till you achieve your goal. Pull out thy manliness and virility to action. Then the life is yours and the world too.
This message pierced into the heart and opened the eyes. Then itself the author settled in the prayer room, quietening the mind and concentrating to dive deep into the heart in search of the truth under the backdrop of infernal suffering and abject misery. The situation changed to natural dispassion, renunciation, intense desire and effort and within a month the author could detach himself from his body, transcend and find himself in the pleasant milky, moonlit like luminous state. The author thus touched the luminous path in the heart leading to the Eternal and on the way enjoyed the experiences of Divine life in Divine forms and auras. Divine figures of Gods, Saints and holy personalities granted approbation and showered blessings on the lone traveller in the dreary desert journey.
A divine light descending from the yonder skies, entering the cavity and the divine auras formed round the heart and the head are the most exciting and splendid memorabilla and they confirm the availability of the Truth for verification. Seeing the same experiences in the pictures depicting Jesus Christ, on the occasion of being baptized by St. John - As the Holy Spirit of God coming down like a dove and alighting on Jesus the author's excitement knows no bounds. The pictures of Christ showing light reddish aura round the holy heart and the head surely confirm in perpetuity the experiences of the author and point out beyond doubt the yonder Truth, which is - unborn, undecaying, uncaused, emitting from its radiance, the holy spirit bringing into existence various worlds of manifold beings and becomings.
The author thus perfected the life and attained Nirvana from the eternal cyclic movement of births and deaths. THESE EXPERIENCES AND THE EVENTS THAT TOOK PLACE IN SEPTEMBER 1998 ARE VERIFIED WITH THE STATEMENTS IN THE SCRIPTURES OF THE MAJOR RELIGIONS AND THE DHARMAS AND THEY MERIT EXPRESSION THROUGH THIS BOOK AND BY MEANS OF SEMINARS, WORK SHOPS, DIALOGUES AND DISCOURSES. This is the supreme triumph achieved under the ambience and guidance of the Nature soaring up into the skies from the supreme calamity like the mythological phoenix bird. The author's Divine experiences and the clarity on the subject is the strength of the Holy Spirit and the Truth that warrants open declaration with raised hands on the Truth behind the religions, Gods and the entire universe once again in these times of religious fanaticism and bigotry. |
REASONS FOR WRITING, PROPOSED LENGTH AND ILLUSTRATION:
The length of the book does not exceed about two hundred pages of the standard size of 22 x 14 cms with all charts and drawings picturising and presenting the matter.
Reasons For Writing The Book -The subject is the supreme. It is ever fresh swallowing the past and the future. The time, space, cause limitations or the sound of the word do not reach there. See charts in the introduction to the book. The nature of the Supreme is the Light. It is the Light of lights. It is the Flaming Fire; it aglows ever. It transcends time and space. It is beyond word of definition and description. Beyond dichotomies and differentiations of human experience. The Supreme is experientiable, when the objective world of experience is withdrawn into the mind, and the constricted objective entity is again withdrawn into the subjective feeling "I am" and on the final annihilation of the subject the "Iness" like our experience in the state of deep sleep. This is the only process for realisation of the Supreme Self and there is no other way. Aught else is ill conceived. This is the process of involution always available to the aspirant for final liberation from the limitations.
Only a man of experience can present this subject. We do not have a book of this class so far. All the scriptures and the literature is verily a reported one by some one who had no direct experience of the truth. These statements therefore remain as mere literature and fail to indicate the Truth or the effective way of approach. The Veda (knowledge) and the Upanishads do not indicate at what point of time and by whom they were written or revealed. It is said that this knowledge is as old as the universe and is eternal and ever fresh and such knowledge is passed on by the teacher to the disciple from time to time through the generations. The reason given is knowledge of the Self is also form less as the Self.
It is only the matter that is possessed of form, a word and meaning which is ever changing and is perishable. Man and his life represent this perishable matter and its movement and to understand this fact and pass on the knowledge down to the generations why should an individual take the credit and present his perishable personality? Truth is eternal, ever existing and is ever fresh like our breathing and the life energy in our body and these do exist eternally even if some one does not explain and reveal to the listener; as though the planet Earth did not move round the stationary Sun before some scientist discovered this fact and pronounced.
The logic that the scriptures need not bear the name of the teacher explaining the Truth sounds sensible and further leaves the listener spell bound about the humility and the psyche, such great souls practised, identifying themselves with the Self and the Spirit. The content of the Upanishads and the Vedanta is therefore eternal and ever fresh requiring repeated explanations to the humanity from time to time. The author offers himself for discussion and interaction to further the understanding of the great knowledge of the all pervasive Self. The more work is done in this direction, the better fulfillment the author finds. This book writing is a humble attempt for this purpose. A suitable book tracing out such an approach to the Supreme light is very much required now. This is the main reason for writing this book.
Knowledge, whether secular or spiritual, cannot be created. All the knowledge is already available in the micro or macrocosmic levels - the gross subtle and the cause. The human mind is trying to understand and verify what is already there. It is only discovering or unfolding the knowledge already there either in the external physical or inner psychological or spiritual. Knowledge of the outer world finds its moorings in the mind-memory-intelligence-frame and in the heart where the cause is present as the seed. Again this inner invisible knowledge is verifiable with the objective outside knowledge. In fact the division is the creation of the mind; knowledge as such is whole, perfect and indivisible.
The quest for complete knowledge is there from the beginning and it is heading from good to better in the outer physical sciences particularly. There cannot be any further progress in the discovery of the spiritual. It is up to every individual to make effort and realise and experience the Absolute .The question now is whether at any stage human mind has brought out this perfect knowledge and if so whether it is available to the mankind. My concern is the Supreme Self and its descent as Spirit into the matter and not the matter and its knowledge. We have already scriptural knowledge on the matter in abundance. Perfect knowledge of the Soul and the Spirit in the transcendental state is hidden and it is not brought to the knowledge of the humanity. The knowledge of the matter in the terrestrial and the celestial is also discussed in this book in crisp terms. Perfect knowledge of both, the secular and spiritual, is the only solution for human misery.
The spirit in man is lifegiving, invisible, formless, all pervasive, eternal and indwelling, controlling and guiding the body in its functioning. The Self, the Soul, Qud and the Qudaa are the various words in common use for the Supreme located in the center of the heart. This is the Soul Jesus Christ, Lord Buddha, and a host of individuals realised and achieved total liberation from the inescapable clutches of the body and its constituents. Divine Light forming as aura round the head and the heart, the centers of all knowledge indicates the attainment of the supreme state. THIS TRUTH MERITS OFT REPEATED DECLARATION REVIVING THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE TRUTH. This is possible for another Christ, Buddha, and the Seer or a perfected Saint. THE AUTHOR FINDS SUCH SPIRIT AND STRENGTH FOR PERFECT EXPRESSION OF THE TRUTH.
READERSHIP AND MARKET FOR THE BOOK.
For this purpose the discussion on the Eternal Flame (form of the Self) and its radiance as expressed in the Bible, The Qu'ran, Buddhism and the Upanishads proves unassailable and irrefutable and beyond comment. This is the Eternal Truth beyond word of expression. It is a distortion imagining anthropomorphic and personifying. The Cosmic Spirit is the conscious light energising and stirring the cosmic matter to move, change and grow bringing into existence different worlds and variety of beings and becomings. A realised Seer alone can lay his hands on the statements in the scriptures and point out this Truth.
Other than this cosmic principle, all other knowledge of the change of the cosmic seed into the manifested tree is transient and varying. It speaks on the manifold movement of the outside world. Innate lies the interconnected dynamic pattern called the universe. Both together complete the curved movement from seed to tree and tree to seed. The visible and the invisible complete the cyclic movement presenting the particle and the event ever in the flux. Definitely this knowledge is ever changing bringing new concepts and discoveries overriding the former ones and invites endless contradictions, disputes disquisitions and disagreements. Such enquiry proceeds from good to better till we attain the knowledge in perfection and unity. Scriptures of the world provide contradictory knowledge dividing the humanity into sects, communities by inducing weakness dependence blind belief and irrational knowledge of the unseen, the Soul and the Spirit. This is truly the root cause for religious bigotry, sectarian clashes, ethnic claims and quarrels and the present terrorism.
True knowledge of the Soul and the Spirit is totally ignored and remains unexplained. It is time now to explain the same and retrieve the humanity from the debris of ignorance. Let us thus declare in repetition the true knowledge of the Self, so that man is made conscious of the Truth and is not driven to insolent emotionalism and fanaticism.
The readership expected is the intelligentsia of the Christian world from the Pope to the other heads of various branches and the rank and file in the Muslim world; the Buddist, the Jain and the Sikh following the various traditions as Mahayana, etc.; all Hindus from the temples, ashrams and other institutions and the Vedic Scholars - down to the earnest aspirant. All intelligent people in the communist countries of China and Russia and the Thiests and the Athiests. This book reveals the universal Truth behind all and the support of the religions, gods and the three worlds. The book is the rarest of the rare. It should be the text book for philosophy etc., in the universities and the theosophical training centers. The wise and the intelligent should pay attention analyse the content and promote the movement for spiritual renaissance.
LEVEL OF PRESENTATION
This book deals with 25 categories into which the world of manifestation is divided and it is from the Sankhya school of philosophy. The details provide rational, logical and scientific understanding of the cosmic scheme of the world movement. The study and the assimilation of the content dispels all doubts and ignorance. It encourages the reader to develop a firm and acceptable scientific understanding of the entire manifest world. It further encourages the reader to enquire into the principle of God or the cosmic intelligence heralding the revival of faith in the Almighty and the earnest human effort in the process of God realisation. This is the inner knowledge behind the mind. Our day to day knowledge is external emanating from the mind. The presentation in this book is unique and is unheard so far. This inspiration and the urge to present the subject is Divine dispensation. The expression is fresh, present and impromptu. It is out of experience free from fault and ambiguity.
The content covers every thing from the blade of grass to the Absolute and points out with precision and emphasis the all pervading Self. Other knowledge of the fleeting, flirting and floating matter is the cause for the human misery as discussed in the book. No part of the expression, however, penchant and poignant, should be construed as an affront to the reader's personality or his understanding or derogatory to the scriptural literature, which has already percolated into the human mind. Man is already caught in the thralldom of scriptural literature and lost the sharp and vibrant mind for own independent and fresh enquiry into the godhood.
DIRECT PARTICIPATION THROUGH DISCOURSE AND DIALOGUE WILL ENSURE DISCRIMINATIVE APPROACH TO THE INFINITE. The only merit expected from the reader is strong desire and determined approach to probe into the Truth. The reader must be free from belief and psychological thralldom and should possess the mind for logic and reason to pass through freely without being blocked. The mind is dependent on the holy spirit for its functioning; the mind is the instrument for receiving and working out the external objective knowledge. It also witnesses the introvert mental faculty from the memory cells.
The inner enquiry and inner journey towards the Truth is verily difficult. Yet it should be done by diving deep into the Inner cavity of the heart. When all the modifications and the adjuncts are transcended successfully, and the mind and the heart are perfectly purified, the aspirant merges in the Truth. This Divine realisation should be achieved by every aspirant and no one else can do it on his behalf or can there be a collective exercise for collective benefit. It is the individual leading the life in misery and who aspires for liberation. One person's misery and misfortune may be the pleasure and fortune to another.
The author wishes to make a humble attempt and lit the light in the hearts of the earnest for right enquiry, right understanding and the right knowledge of the Truth and therefore, desires to conduct dialogues, seminars, workshops and sessions of direct interaction to promote this important subject.
